Palladino’s new assignment in Washington D.C. was announced last month. We are hopeful that the next pastor will be open to working with us in repairing the church building and engaging the community. Fr. Palladino begins in DC on July 1st, however new pastoral appointments can take time as the Archdiocese attempts to find the right fit. We will share updates when we have them. Merry Christmas
A big thank you to everyone who showed up and who donated last month at The Pub to Pantry event at the Eire Pub. You truly made a huge difference by helping the Fr. Fratus Food Pantry at St. Brendan Church provide holiday meals for those in our community who are in need – for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. The neighborhood came together to make that event a success. We appreciate the partnership of the Irish Pastoral Centre and the Eire Pub in helping to make that possible. Lenten Clothing Collection FoSB volunteer opportunity
Gabe Parsons from Rockne Ave who works for the Boston Public Health Commission alerted FoSB to a current need for clothing donations for the homeless in our city. FoSB is partnering with the Irish Pastoral Centre and Boston Public Health Commission to organize a Clothing Collection these next several weeks during Lent (see image below for details). We are looking for some more volunteers (young and old) to help us get the word out! -assist in a parish-wide handout distribution to launch the Lenten Clothing Collection and inform about next month’s Gathering for Good St B 90th Anniversary Gala (even just helping…

Since we have come to the end of the successful year-long effort to keep Saint Brendan Church open, I got the information from the person that set up the original change .org petition last year and posted an update for all 2,000+ who signed. We welcome back Fr. Keymont for both Masses this weekend. If you missed the Alumni Mass last Sunday- this is a great chance to stop by and see the Statue of St. Patrick dedicated to the 71/72 St B. Classmates and/or check out the Wall and Window plaques.

First Annual St. Brendan All Alumni Mass this Sunday at 9am
Join us for the first annual Saint Brendan Alumni Mass this Sunday 6/23 at 9:00am with a reception immediately following in Fr. Lane Hall. All are invited: Alumni, Friends, Neighbors… Attendance numbers are still so important. The Saint Patrick Statue, restored by John Parsons, has been dedicated in honor of the deceased members of the St. Brendan Classes of 1971 and 1972. The Statue sits in the vestibule (inside the main entrance of the church).
