►NEXT Friends of Saint Brendan MEETING is **THURSDAY February 15 at 6:30p**
at McKeon Post (lower hall) – All friends of Saint Brendan are welcome 🙂 !
We had a number of Fabulous volunteers pass out informational handouts throughout the neighborhood this weekend. Below is a downloadable pdf version of the informational handout/newsletter from Friends of Saint Brendan along with the Mail-in forms for Wall Names and Window Plaques. (if you click “read on Blog” above you can also view it directly on the website).
FoSB has recently had many requests from St. Brendan School Alumni wanting to be a part of our efforts and interested in getting their Class Year on the FoSB Altar Wall. John Parsons has a list of the Alumni Reps for each class (who are collecting towards the $500). So if you are a St B graduate and would like to know who your alumni rep is (or if you are willing to get your class more involved) contact John Parsons for details (or send us an email and we will connect you with John.)
We Hope to see you at the meeting Thursday !

MEETING Florian Hall: Friends of Saint Brendan is meeting this Wednesday January 31, at Florian Hall at 6:30p (note location change). You are very welcome to stop in and please extend the invitation to neighbors. We would love more people to be involved and to hear more input/ideas.
♦Progress Report: FoSB just mailed Vicar General Bishop O’Connell the 6 month progress report (July 1 – Dec 31) and we are exceeding The Plan goals in both weekly Attendance and weekly Offertory which is fantastic !! There were a few roadblocks early on with fundraising but things have started to take off with some big fundraisers just beginning.📈
☘️ 10K Raffle: Jean Cahill and some St B Community Members are running a $10,000 Raffle Drawing on Fri March 8th and tickets are now on sale. Venmo is @stb10Kevent

• Friends of Saint Brendan Wall: If you haven’t already heard/seen, John Parsons has already beautifully marbleized the Wall Around the Altar, and is inscribing names of Supporters (both past and present) in gold paint in continuous horizontal rows for a donation of $500 per name.
One Name is either a single supporter, a couple, a St B Graduated Class or a Business. He has just begun the 2nd line around See: https://friendsofsaintbrendan.org/wall/ for more details, photos and for the online form to request and submit a donation for name(s).
There are also now posters with details and QR code in the church vestibule and there will soon be printed forms there too for those who prefer.

† Friends of Saint Brendan Window Dedication Plaques: John is also offering another opportunity with more flexibility to accommodate specific wording and sentiments: custom 3.5 x 1.5in FoSB Plaques on two of our rededicated Stained Glass Windows. Price is also $500 but there is room on the plaques for multiple names. (webpage and forms for the windows should be available very shortly- hopefully this week)
(on the St Brendan Rd side -2nd window from the altar-after organ)

John hung some mockup plaques in place so people can get an idea of where they will be and what they will look like

An informational flyer will be distributed throughout the neighborhood within the next few weeks, detailing our efforts and progress, along with ways to help, and to try to get everyone involved as we move into these next 6 months. We will also share a digital version here.
