FANTASTIC news !!!:
🎉We are overjoyed to welcome Fr. Currie as our new Pastor effective June 29th🎉🎉

This is the successful result of a 4 year effort in which MANY have played a part (volunteering time, generous donations, community outreach, and simply attending Mass and Events.) There was a ton of work done in the background these past 2 yrs by Friends of Saint Brendan leadership, in communicating and documenting the many issues and concerns
with the Archdiocese.
We finally have a chance at a NEW BEGINNING with a Pastor who will be excited to work with the members of the parish and reinvigorate. 🎉
We are so grateful to the Archdiocese for hearing us (finally 😉 )

Recent news:
We await Archbishop Henning’s naming of a new pastor,
as Fr. Palladino’s new assignment in Washington D.C. was announced last month.
We are hopeful that the next pastor will be open to
working with us in repairing the church building and engaging the community.  
Fr. Palladino begins in DC on July 1st, however new pastoral appointments
can take time as the Archdiocese attempts to find the right fit. 
We will share updates when we have them.

Accomplishments:
In an effort to Thank EVERYONE involved and
celebrate FoSB’s Accomplishments,
we shared a handout after Easter Mass.

Lenten Clothing Collection will begin February 28th
So now is the time to plan a closet cleanout and start putting aside clothing items!
We are also looking for more volunteers to join us in passing out paper versions
of the Lenten Clothing Collection flyer to the community
(as we want to get the word out and invite as many as possible to be involved).
Email Volunteer@FriendsofSaintBrendan.org to volunteer to take on a street or portion of a street or for more information about the event.
We are SO very grateful for those who volunteer their time !

And our sincere thanks to the Irish Pastoral Centre for offering
a place for collection and sorting.
This community Lenten effort would not be possible without their help !!

A big thank you to everyone who showed up and who donated last month at The Pub to Pantry event at the Eire Pub.  You truly made a huge difference by helping the Fr. Fratus Food Pantry at St. Brendan Church provide holiday meals for those in our community who are in need – for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. The neighborhood came together to make that event a success. We appreciate the partnership of the Irish Pastoral Centre and the Eire Pub in helping to make that possible.
